Delhi Capitals complete double over LSG in IPL 2025
Delhi Capitals and LSG went head-to-head against each other at Lucknow, after a thrilling contest in Vishakhapatnam at the start of the season. Ashutosh Sharma led his side to a memorable win at that time. These two sides played another thrilling encounter, and Delhi Capitals once again emerged victorious. This win takes Delhi into second place and leaves LSG in fifth in the IPL 2025 table.
Markram, Marsh continue their good run
LSG has been dependent on three batters. Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran started the season with a bang. Aiden Markram took some time but is now the most in-form batter in the team. It was yet another good start for the home team. Markram took charge at the start of the innings. This helped Marsh to settle down and build an innings.

The South African took charge of the DC bowlers. These two added 87 runs for the first wicket. Markram scored 52 in 33 balls before giving his wicket to Chameera. Axar Patel did a good job by bowling his spell in the first seven overs. He gave away only 29 runs. Markram’s wicket was the turning point of the match.
Mukesh Kumar & Co. restricts LSG to a low total
Nicholas Pooran entered the match and started to show aggression towards the bowlers. Axar brought Starc back into the attack. The Aussie has a good record against Pooran, and he proved it by bowling him out on nine. Rishabh Pant promoted Abdul Samad but he struggled to score runs. Ayush Badoni came as an impact sub after Mukesh dismissed Marsh and Samad in the same over. Badoni scored 36 runs to take his side to 159 for six. Pant faced two balls and was dismissed on the last ball of the innings. Mukesh took four wickets for the capital team.

Delhi Capitals: Porel, Rahul guide to an easy win
Delhi was chasing a below-par total at Lucknow. They knew that a few partnerships would make this chase easier. Porel and Nair started the innings. Delhi is playing only three foreigners due to injury and out-of-form players. The duo scored 36 runs for the first wicket. Aiden Markram was introduced to the attack, and he dismissed Nair on 15.
KL Rahul entered the frame. He along with Porel, looked confident on the field. Porel was the aggressor, and Rahul played a steady knock. Porel scored 51 runs in 36 balls. The second wicket partnership stood for 69 runs before Markram got his second wicket of the night.
Axar Patel came in at his usual position. He smashed four 6s in a 20-ball innings to score 34 runs. Rahul scored his third fifty in seven games. KL also became the fastest player to score 5000 runs in IPL history. The batter only took 130 innings and averages 46 in this league. He remained not out on 57 runs as DC chased the target with 13 balls left and eight wickets in hand. LSG were poor on the field as they dropped a few catches.
