Sanju and Dube to the Charge:
Indian opener Jaiswal started his inning like a roller coaster, hitting the first two balls for six. He got out on the fourth ball. India were 40/3 after the 5th over. They reached this milestone in the 15th over.
Parag got out in the next over after his slowish knock of 22 in 24 balls. Sanju continued to bat and brought up his fifty in 39 balls. He was later caught at a score of 58. Zimbabwe started poorly once again with Mukesh Kumar striking on the third ball of the inning, dismissing Madhevere for a duck. Mukesh struck again on the third ball of his second over, and Zimbabwe were 15-2. After two early wickets, Myers and Marumani batted well and took the score to 59 in 8 overs. Marumani was dismissed in the 9th over by Sundar, and from there, Zimbabwe did not gain any momentum and was bowled out for just 125 in the 19th over.
Dion Myers was the top scorer with 34 runs. Mukesh Kumar had a pretty good outing, taking 4 wickets for just 22 runs. Shivam Dube also took 2 wickets and was adjudged the Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
