Sporting Made a Victory Over Man City and Milan over Madrid
Sporting CP surprised the fans with a stunning win over Manchester City in UCL. The new format of the UEFA Champions League is full of excitement. The competition has reached the fourth round, with 36 teams fighting to become the champions of Europe. Some big clubs have kept their hold, while others are struggling to keep pace.
Milan silences the Bernabeu crowd
Defending champions Real Madrid were in action against the Italian giants, AC Milan. Carlo Ancelotti and his side are struggling to find their touch. Kylian Mbappe has struggled to make an impact for the new team. However, the record-time European champions perform above par in this competition. They made a massive comeback against Borussia Dortmund in the previous match.

AC Milan had different plans and was not going down easily at the Bernabeu. Malick Thiaw opened the scoring for the visitors before Vinicius equalized from the spot. Former Real Madrid striker, Alvaro Morata scored Milan’s second of the evening inside the first half. Tijani Reijnders scored his side’s third goal to stun the defending champions at home. Madrid are struggling with two wins and two defeats in the Champions League. AC Milan also has the same record after four matches.
Sporting CP stuns Manchester City in last game
Manchester City were in Lisbon for their UCL match. However, things didn’t go in favor of Pep Guardiola’s side. The English champions lost 4-1 against the Portuguese champions. This was their third consecutive defeat in all competitions.

Sporting CP manager, Ruben Amorim was in charge of his final game at the Portuguese club. He will be leaving them to join Manchester United. The former Portugal player wanted to face Man City before moving to Old Trafford. His side were down in the fourth minute when Phil Foden opened the scoring for the visitors.

Sporting players were not going down easily. Viktor Gyokeres equalized in the first half. The home team took the lead early in the second half through Araujo. Gyokeres scored his second of the night from the spot. Pep’s side conceded two goals inside the first five minutes of the second half. They had a chance to make a comeback. However, Erling Haaland missed his penalty and the score remained 3-1. Viktor Gyokeres was hungry to complete his hat-trick and did it from the spot in the 80th minute. Sporting is second in the table after four matches.
Luis Diaz spoils Alonso’s return to Anfield
Xabi Alonso returned to Anfield with Bayer Leverkusen. The German champions faced a tough test against Arne Slot’s team. Liverpool have been spectacular under their new manager. They showed this by thrashing Leverkusen 4-0 at home.
After a goalless first half, Slot’s team scored four goals after the 60th-minute mark. Luis Diaz scored a hat-trick and Gakpo scored the other goal. Liverpool comfortably sits at the top of the table.
