Ravindra Jadeja: India’s greatest all-rounder of all time
Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh Jadeja, commonly known as Ravindra Jadeja is an all-rounder who plays for the Indian cricket team. One of the finest players of his generation, Jadeja has established himself across all three formats in the international stage. He is one of the best fielders that the nation has ever produced.

Ravi Jadeja was born on 6 December 1988 in Gujarat. His father wanted him to become an army officer but Jadeja had the desire to play for his nation. He lost his mother in 2005 and almost gave up on the game.
Ravindra Jadeja Early Career:
Ravindra Jadeja represented the Indian U-19 team in the 2006 World Cup. The team ended as the runners-up. This was followed by another U-19 World Cup campaign in 2008. Jadeja was the vice-captain of the winning team. He took 10 wickets in the tournament. The 35-year-old made his first-class debut in the Duleep Trophy 2006-07 campaign. Jaddu represents Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy. The all-rounder created history in 2012 by becoming the eighth player to score three first-class triple centuries in his career.

International Career:
Following some superb performances at the domestic stage, Jadeja was picked up for the ODI series against Sri Lanka in 2009. He made 60 not out in his debut game but ended up on the losing side. This was followed by T20I debut in the same series. Ravi Jadeja took some time to book his place in the Test team. He made his red ball debut against England in 2012.
Ravindra Jadeja has represented his nation in three ODI World Cups. In the 2015 edition, the player took nine wickets despite struggling with shoulder injury. In 2019, Jadeja played a crucial knock against the Kiwis in the semi-final but ended on the losing side. He was also a part of India’s incredible journey in the 2023 World Cup. Jadeja went on to win the T20 World Cup with India in 2024.

Jadeja IPL Career:
Rajasthan Royals picked up Ravindra Jadeja in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League. Jaddu won the IPL with the Royals and also earned the nickname of “Rockstar” from the legendary Shane Warne.

In 2011, Kochi Tuskers Kerala acquired his services for $950,000. Jaddu moved to Chennai Super Kings in the following season for a massive price of $2 million. He was also appointed as the captain in the 2022 edition. Ravi Jadeja has won the IPL three times with CSK.

Personal Life:
Ravindra Jadeja married Rivaba Jadeja in 2016. She is a politician and a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. The couple welcomed their daughter in 2017.
