PSG thrash Real Madrid to reach first Club World Cup final
PSG brought Xabi Alonso’s unbeaten start at Real Madrid to an unexpected end. Luis Enrique’s PSG embarrassed the European giants with a massive 4-0 win. This win means that the French club will take on Chelsea in search of their first-ever FIFA Club World Cup title.
PSG made early momentum
Real Madrid had defensive issues throughout the 2024-25 season. Xabi Alonso is also dealing with the same thing. Dean Huijsen was suspended for this match, and he played Raul Asencio in his place. Asencio had a nightmare of a start. His error led to the first goal. Fabian Ruiz registered his name on the scoring chart in the sixth minute.
Three minutes later, Antonio Rudiger miskicked a ball, and Ousmane Dembele pounced on the opportunity. He was one-on-one with the keeper and extended the lead. Fabian Ruiz extended the lead to 3-0 in the 24th minute. PSG was dominant throughout the match. They never allowed Real Madrid players to breathe easily. Kylian Mbappe started for the first time but was denied open space by the defence.

Goncalo Ramos came off the bench to score the fourth goal in the 87th minute. PSG could have scored more early in the game, but Courtois made a couple of good saves and kept his side in the game.
Joao Pedro knocks out his former club
Chelsea made it to the final of the Club World Cup 2025 after a 2-0 win over Fluminense in the first semi-final. Joao Pedro started for the first time in a Chelsea shirt just after signing the previous week. He netted a brace to send his side into the final. The first goal was a spectacular one that came from outside of the box.

Chelsea were dominant against their Brazilian opponents and completely outclassed them. However, the final is up against one of the best teams in the world. Chelsea also has a young squad like that of PSG. It will be a big test for the English club and Enzo Maresca.
Betting odds: PSG red hot favourites
European Champions are up against the Conference League winners in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. The odds clearly favour Paris St. Germain to win this match. After winning in a dominant fashion against Real Madrid, PSG has odds of 11/17 to win this match. Chelsea odds are on the higher side at 9/2.
Who will win the Golden Boot?
Four players are currently leading the race for the top goal scorer of the tournament. Unfortunately, none of them will be playing in the final. Gonzalo Garcia, Marcos Leonardo, Serhou Guirassy, and Angel Di Maria are tied on four goals each. Fabian Ruiz and Pedro Neto are the closest to these players with three goals each.
Chelsea’s Enzo Fernades leads the assist chart with three. PSG’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Achraf Hakimi, and Bradley Barcola are just behind him with two assists each. These players are capable of turning the game in favour of their side.
