Pakistan made a flawless 3-0 victory over South Africa
Pakistan secured a 3-0 series win against South Africa in the ODI series. The home team came in with a 2-0 T20I win but failed to win any of the 50-over matches. Mohammed Rizwan led his side to a whitewash with Saim Ayub winning the Man of the Series award.
Three-wicket chase in the opener
South Africa posted 239 runs in the first ODI for the loss of nine wickets at Boland Park. Salman Agha took four wickets to stop the opposition from posting a huge total. He then shared the crease with Saim Ayub. Agha scored 82 in the chase and Ayub scored a sensational ton to take their side over the line.
Pakistan batters smash SA bowlers in second match
Pakistan were given a chance to bat in the second match. The fifties from Babar Azam, Rizwan, and Kamran Ghulam helped their side to post a huge total of 329 runs. In return, the home team only posted 248 runs in 42 overs. Shaheen took four wickets and Naseem contributed with three wickets.

Clean sweep for the team from Asia
The away side posted 308 runs in the third match. Saim Ayub scored a sensational ton and was supported by Babar and Rizwan. The duo scored a half-century each. South Africa came close to the target but lost by 36 runs. Sufyan Muqeem took four wickets to stop the opposition from chasing the target.

Ayub failed to score in the second match. He started strong but got out on 25 runs. The 22-year-old came back with a 101 runs knock in the third ODI. He also took a wicket. Saim ended the series with 235 runs at an average of 78.33.
Klaasen – The lone warrior
Heinrich Klaasen stood tall in the three matches but could not take his side over the line. The hard-hitter smashed Pakistani bowlers for 264 runs at an average of 88. He scored 86 runs in the first match. A sensational 97-run knock in the second match followed this. Klaasen then smashed the Pakistani bowlers for 81 runs in just 43 balls. The SRH batsman failed to convert any score, which created a lot of trouble for the opposition.

Series to forget for Abdullah Shafique
The Pakistan opener has performed well since his arrival to the setup. However, he had a series to forget against the South Africans. Marco Jansen got his man out on a duck in the first two matches. The visitor stuck with the same opening pair in the third match. This time Abdullah Shafique was up against Kagiso Rabada. The South Africa got him out on a golden duck and ended his series with zero runs.
Pakistan will be happy to take this ODI series. Now, they will play two Tests before heading back home.
