LSG, PBKS register big wins on double header Tuesday
LSG kicked off a high-scoring Tuesday in IPL 2025 with a thrilling win over Kolkata at Eden Gardens. After a long break, a midweek double-header returned in style as all four teams crossed the 200-run mark. Later in the evening, Punjab Kings secured their first home victory of the season by defeating CSK.
LSG: Batters showdown at Eden Gardens
Lucknow Super Giants travelled to Kolkata. Rishabh Pant and his team have shown signs of inconsistency this season. They needed a win to get their campaign back on track. KKR, on the other hand, were coming after a big win over SRH. They won the toss and decided to bat.

Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh have started to find their rhythm at the top. This duo once again impressed with a 99-run partnership in 62 balls. Markram added 47 runs in just 28 balls. Marsh continued his form and scored 81 runs in 48 deliveries.
These two laid down a foundation for the orange cap holder this season. Nicholas Pooran is at the top of his game. He played a gem of an innings against KKR. The West Indian scored 87 runs in just 36 balls. He smashed every baller, including two of his countrymen. Pooran managed to hit eight sixes in his innings. LSG posted 238 runs on the board for the loss of three wickets.
KKR needed around 12 runs per over. They made an excellent start by putting 90 runs in the first six overs. De Kock failed to post a huge total. Narine added 30 runs in 13 balls. Rahane was the best batsman as he scored 61 runs in 35 deliveries. Venkatesh Iyer added 45 runs to the team total. The middle order tried to attack but were dismissed after some brilliant bowling. Rinku tried to win the match, but KKR fell short by 4 runs.
Priyansh Arya helps PBKS win at home
Priyansh Arya scored a superb ton to take PBKS over the victory line against CSK. Punjab posted 219 runs on the board for the loss of six wickets. Priyansh opened the innings but saw his partners giving away their wickets. Prabhsimran failed to add a run to the total. Shreyas, Stoinis, Nehal, and Maxwell were also out on single figures.

The youngster single-handedly took charge and scored a century in just 39 balls. This was the second fastest century by an Indian player. Shashank Singh and Marco Jansen played crucial roles towards the end. Shashank added 52 runs, and Jansen contributed 34 runs to the total.
CSK’s opening pair finally managed to put a good score on the board. Ravindra and Conway added 61 runs for the first wicket. Ruturaj Gaikwad failed once again with the bat. Shivam Dube took charge at the bowlers with a 42-run knock. Conway was forced to retire at 69. MS Dhoni moved up the order and scored 27 runs in 12 deliveries. In the end, CSK fell short by 18 runs.
