Leeds United And Burnley secure The Premier League promotion
Leeds United and Burnley have secured promotion to the English Premier League for the 2025-26 season. These two teams were a part of recent history in the English top flight, and they are back to play with the big boys.
These two teams got promoted with two games in hand. Currently level on points, the race for the title is on until the last day of the season.
Leeds United trash Stoke City to gain promotion
It has been a good season for Leeds United under Daniel Farke. The German manager has built a young side that is ready to face the big clubs in the Premier League. His team thrashed Stoke City 6-0 to secure Premier League promotion just after a couple of years’ absence.

Joel Piroe has been the main man since joining the club last season. He once again played a crucial role by scoring four in this match. The Dutchman has taken his tally to 19 goals for the season. He, along with Daniel James, Brandon Aaronson, Manor Solomon, and others, has led Leeds United back to the top division.
Burnley return after one year
After a forgettable season last time, Burnley are back in the Premier League. Scott Parker has led the Clarets out of a tough situation. Burnley’s away form has been the reason behind their success. The Clarets are the most successful team on the road this season. They defeated Sheffield United to gain automatic qualification.
Who will win the EFL Championship?
EFL Championship is the second division of English football. 24 teams play 46 matches each, one home match and one away match against every team. At the end of the season, the teams finishing 1st and 2nd get automatic qualification to the Premier League.
The most interesting phase in the playoffs. The teams finishing from 3rd to 6th have a chance to make it to the Premier League. These four teams travel to Wembley, where three matches are played. The third-placed team goes up against the team that finished sixth, and the fourth-placed team takes on the fifth-placed one. The winner of these matches plays the final match. Whichever team wins gets promoted to the Premier League.

Currently, Leeds United and Burnley are level on points on 94. However, Leeds have a better goal difference, which will be impossible for the Clarets to cover. Leeds needs two wins to secure the title.
The race for the final spot is on. Sheffield United and Sunderland have already booked their spots in the playoffs. Both teams are set to finish third and fourth, respectively. Sheffield United led the league table for a long period but could not show consistency. Four losses in the last five games moved them into third place.
The biggest race is for the next two spots. Bristol City and Coventry are currently in the top six, but Middlesbrough, Millwall, and Blackburn mathematically have a chance to qualify. The last two matches will decide the fate of these clubs. Winning every match is crucial for them, and one mistake can cost any team.
