India In ICC Champions Trophy Final: The Kohli Magic
India secured a four-wicket win over Australia to book their place in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final. Virat Kohli led the Men in Blue with a superb knock in the chase. This win takes India to their third consecutive Champions Trophy Final.
Rohit Sharma once again lost the toss. This was his 14th consecutive toss loss. Australia made two changes to their team. Cooper Connolly replaced injured Matthew Short and Tanveer Sangha replaced Spencer Johnson. India remained unchanged and opted to go with a spin heavy attack.
Varun gets rid of the dangerous Head
Indian bowlers got some early help from the wicket. Cooper Connoly failed to open his account. Travis Head took the charge against the Indian bowlers. Australia were 50 up within the first eight overs. Varun Chakaravarthy, who took five wickets in the last match, got Head’s wicket on 39. Australia were 54 for two in 8.2 overs.

Smith & Carey shine, others collapse
Steven Smith carried the charge along with Marnus Labuschagne. The Aussie captain held his innings and ended up scoring 73 runs. Labuschange scored 29 before giving his wicket to Jadeja. Josh Inglis also failed to make his mark. Once again, Jadeja gave India the breakthrough.
Alex Carey continued his good run of form in the middle overs. Australian middle order and late order failed to add runs to the total. Axar took out Maxwell on seven. Dwarshuis stood for some time in the middle. Carey completed his half-century before getting run out on 61. Shami ended the innings with three wickets in his bag.
Early blows silence Dubai’s crowd
Rohit and Gill took the charge against the Aussie bowlers. However, they showed a bit of experience and got the in-form Shubman Gill on just eight. Soon, Rohit followed him after a quickfire 28. India were 43 for two in 8 overs.
India back into the game: Kohli magic
Chase master Virat Kohli once again showed his magic in chasing a total. The veteran stood at the crease along with Shreyas Iyer. Kohli’s strike rotation troubled the opposition team. These singles and doubles eased the pressure. Shreyas Iyer also continued his good run in the tournament. He added 45 runs to his total. The innings were a bit slow according to his standards, but they were crucial enough to keep India in a winning position. These two added 91 runs for the third wicket. Zampa took out Iyer to bring some momentum to his team.

Middle order seals the deal
Axar joined Virat in the middle and added 27 runs to the team total. Nathan Ellis took out the left-hander. KL Rahul came to the crease. He looked confident and was timing the ball perfectly. Kohli created a stand but gave his wicket on 84 runs.
Hardik Pandya came to the middle and smashed three sixes. He eased the pressure on KL Rahul. Pandya had already taken India to a winning position. KL Rahul took the matter in his own hands. His six sealed a place in the final of the Champions Trophy. The 32-year-old scored an unbeaten 42.
India will either face South Africa or New Zealand in the final.
