Harry Brook’s England Seal Series in a High-Scoring Thrilling match
Harry Brook’s reign as England’s white ball captain has taken a great start. After a 3-0 ODI series win, the English team has taken a 2-0 lead in the T20I series against the West Indies. The Three Lions dominated in the second T20I and took away a huge win. West Indies, on the other hand, continues to struggle against the big boys.
Hope & Charles recover from early damage
Evin Lewis faced the first ball of the match. Luke Wood bowled a yorker to send the left-handed batsman back to the dugout. The visitors were on the back foot from the very first ball of the match. Shai Hope joined Johnson Charles in the middle. These two added 90 runs for the second wicket. Hope was the aggressor in this partnership. The West Indies captain scored 49 runs before getting stumped on Adil Rashid’s delivery. His wicket was a big loss for the visitors. They lost wickets at regular intervals, and England were bowling tight lines to stop the opposition from scoring.
Late hitting rescues the Windies
Sherfane Rutherford went out cheaply on a single-digit score. Rovman Powell came early and played a good knock of 34 runs. West Indies were not scoring freely, but their patience got some good results towards the end.

England’s bowlers struggled to close the innings. They conceded 75 runs in the last four overs as West Indies posted 196 runs in their 20 overs. Adil Rashid was at the end of a hammering in the 19th over. Jason Holder smashed three sixes before getting a single. Romario Shephard played the last two balls and hammered them for sixes. Rashid conceded 31 runs in the 19th over of the innings. Luke Wood finished his spell with two wickets for 25 runs. England needed 197 runs to seal the T20I series.
Harry Brook’s England: Slow start but quick recovery
England is known for their hard-hitting under the coaching of Brendon McCullum. Jamie Smith went out cheaply, and Buttler came early to bat. He and Duckett added 63 runs for the second wicket. Duckett was dismissed on 3,0 and the England captain walked into the middle. Brook came with an intent and smashed 34 runs in just 20 balls.

Buttler was the third player to get out. The former England captain scored 47 in 36 balls. According to his standards, this was a bit slow innings, but these runs helped build a platform for the new batters. Jacob Bethell and Tom Banton were given the roles of finishers. These two came in with more intent. Bethell smashed three sixes in his 10-ball innings before getting out for 26.
Banton scored 30 runs in just 11 balls. He remained not out and took his team over the line. England chased the target with four wickets in hand and nine balls remaining. Alzarri Joseph took two for 45 in his four. The match produced 395 runs, but no half-century was scored in the process. These two will now face each other in Southampton.
