MI Secures Second Victory Over SRH in the IPL 2025
MI continues their good form in IPL 2025 after a poor start to the season. Hardik Pandya and his men won their fourth consecutive game following a win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. This win means that MI has completed the double over SRH.
Another poor start for the Orange Army
SRH has struggled to score runs like they used to last season. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma are not the destructive pair anymore. Ishan Kishan is turning out to be a poor investment. In this match, Trent Boult sent Head back to the pavilion without scoring a run. Ishan Kishan was the next batter to follow him. His dismissal was strange as the ball went down the leg side, and the player started to walk without looking at the umpire. He thought there was a nick, but Ultra Edge showed that it missed everything.

Abhishek Sharma was not allowed to free his hands, and he went cheaply. Nitish Kumar Reddy is another player struggling this season. He was the fourth wicket in the powerplay. SRH were 13 for four in 4.1 overs. Soon, Aniket Verma followed them, and SRH were 35 for five in 8.3 overs.
Klaasen & Manohar save SRH from embarrassment
Heinrich Klaasen is Hyderabad’s most expensive player. He stood at the crease along with impact sub, Abhinav Manohar. The duo scored 99 runs for the sixth wicket. They took SRH to 143 for the loss of eight wickets. Klaasen scored 71 and Manohar added 43 runs. Boult ended the innings with four wickets to his name. Chahar added two wickets and bowled one of the best spells for MI.

Back-to-back fifties for Rohit
Rohit Sharma took some time but is back to his form. The Indian captain scored another half-century to guide his team past a low total. Rickelton got out cheaply in the second over. Will Jacks joined Rohit in the middle. These two added 64 runs for the second wicket, with Rohit being the aggressor. Surya came to the party and played a superb cameo. The Indian T20 skipper added 40 runs in just 19 balls. Rohit was eventually dismissed on 70. He did all the damage and helped Mumbai chase the target in 15.4 overs. Jaydev Unadkat, Zeeshan Ansari, and Eshan Malinga took a wicket each for SRH.
MI back in contention after poor start
MI managed just one win in their first five games. The return of Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit’s return to form have helped them to win the last four matches. They move third in the league table following these wins. Mumbai needs to win at least three matches to move to the next round. SRH, on the other hand, could see their campaign ending. Pat Cummins and his team won their opening match, then lost four, won one, and lost the last two matches. It will be a big task for a team struggling to find form. They need to win all their remaining matches.
