KL Rahul Leads DC To Big Win On RCB At Chinnaswamy
KL Rahul led the Delhi Capitals to a convincing win, spoiling Royal Challengers Bangalore’s homecoming this season. Rajat Patidar and his men have failed to win a single home game in IPL 2025. While RCB has tasted success on the road, their struggles at home continue. The Capitals became the second team to beat them this season.
This was an exciting match from the viewer’s point of view. RCB made a good start but lost their momentum in the middle of the innings. They once again found a bit of momentum towards the end. The pace bowlers brought RCB back into the game. However, the score was a bit low, and RCB eventually paid for their poor batting display.
Salt shines, but the rest fail
RCB were put to bat by Axar Patel. Phil Salt has looked a bit inconsistent in this tournament. Virat Kohli has looked more confident and has played aggressively. Salt began the innings in a very aggressive fashion. He was smashing Mitchell Starc and Axar Patel without any fear. RCB were flying high with a score of 61 runs in just 3.4 overs.

Then came a moment that changed everything. Salt ran on the next ball after hitting it to the covers. A little bit of miscommunication led to the Englishman’s wicket. From that point onwards, RCB failed to win back the momentum.

Padikkal just added one run before getting out. Kohli also gave away his wicket to young leggie, Vipraj Nigam. Soon, Livingstone and Jitesh were sent to the pavilion on single digits. Rajat Patidar also failed to score big. His wicket fell on 14.5 when the score was 117. Before Salt’s wicket, RCB were scoring over 15 runs per over. After his wicket, RCB managed just 56 runs in 11 overs.

Tim David saved his side towards the end. The Aussie power hitter scored 37 runs in just 20 balls. RCB ended on 163 for seven.
KL Rahul saves the day
Delhi Capitals were eyeing an easy win over their opponents. However, RCB’s opening bowlers have troubled most batters, and this match saw one of their best performances. Yash Dayal started with the breakthrough. Faf failed to score big against his former team. Bhuvi showed his magic by taking the wicket of Jake Fraser-McGurk. He then dismissed Abhishek Porel on a low score. DC were 30 for three in 4.3 overs. They only managed 39 runs in the powerplay.
KL Rahul needed to play a big innings. He has shown signs of positive intent this season. The wicket-keeping batsman once again proved his worth. He took the Capitals over the line with a 93-run knock in just 53 balls. Rahul smashed 6 sixes in the innings.
Tristan Stubbs accompanied Rahul in the middle with a 38-run knock. The South African took the pressure off Rahul’s shoulder. DC chased the target with 13 balls remaining. They remain unbeaten with four wins in as many games.
