India Thrashed Bangladesh to win the test series 2-0
India clean sweep Bangladesh to win the test series 2-0. This was the first test series win under Gautam Gambhir. Rohit Sharma and Co. produced some outstanding performances to win the series. This win takes them to the top of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 table. India has played 11 tests and won eight. They only lost one match and played a draw in the other two.
The second match of the series was held in Kanpur. India won the first match by 280 runs. Ravi Ashwin gave a man-of-the-match performance as the 38-year-old managed to score his sixth test ton. Bangladesh was coming after a historic win against Pakistan. The Bangla Tigers won 2-0 in Pakistan. This was a chance for them to level the series. Bangladesh was put to bat in the second match.

India Vs. Bangladesh: Frustrations on days 1, 2 and 3
Rain was anticipated on day 1 of the second test match. Bangladesh batter first. After 35 overs, the visitors were 107 for the loss of three wickets. The play was stopped due to bad light. Rainfall came and ended the day’s play.
The ground conditions didn’t improve for the next two days. Play was suspended on day 2 and 3, leaving everyone frustrated.

Bumrah & Co. end Bangladesh’s innings on 233
Bangladesh came to bat on day 4. The Indian bowlers were fully charged. They bowled out the opposition for 233 runs and that too within 40 overs on the day. Mominul Haque scored a ton to take his side to a respectable total. Jasprit Bumrah took three wickets. Ravindra Jadeja took the last wicket of the innings and reached 300 test wickets. He became the 7th Indian bowler to reach this mark.
India destroyed Bangladesh’s attack with their batting.
The home team came with an intent to bat. They were planning to score runs and put Bangladesh to bat for the second time. Both openers went after the bowlers all guns blazing. India created records for scoring 50, 100, 200, and 250 runs in an innings.

The 50 was up in 3 overs. India reached the 100 runs mark in 10.1 overs. It took India 24.4 overs to reach 200 runs. The hosts reached the 250-run mark in 30.1 overs. All these records were broken by Gautam Gambhir’s team.
Yashaswi Jaiswal was the top scorer with 72 runs. He scored the fourth fastest half-century by an Indian player in test cricket. KL Rahul scored 68 runs. Captain, Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz and took four wickets each.
Indian bowlers take the charge in third innings
After some incredible batting, it was time for the bowlers to show their talent. Bangladesh were bowled out for 146 runs. Bumrah, Ashwin, and Jadeja chipped in with three wickets each. Shadman Islam scored a 50 and the rest of the batters struggled for the Bangla Tigers.
Jaiswal leads the chase
India needed 95 runs to wrap up the match. Yashasvi Jaiswal showed why he is a top talent in Indian cricket. The left-handed batsman scored a half-century as India reached the target in 17.2 overs with seven wickets remaining. Rishabh Pant scored the winning runs. It was a big win for the Indian cricket team.
