The Premier League 2024-25: Thrilling Race for the Title

Several clubs are chasing Arne Slot’s men. The second half of the season is always more competitive than the first half. Players are on the top of their games but the fixtures demand the best out of them. Several cup games and league games add pressure on the players. This makes the game more interesting.

Liverpool is leading the league table but their title is not secured. The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, and others are chasing the Merseyside club. As we are in the last phase of the season, here is a look at the possible top four finishers.
The Premier League 2024-25: Liverpool at the top of the mountain
Arne Slot is having a honeymoon period in his first season at Liverpool. His side is currently leading the pack after 24 games. Liverpool is on 56 points and has a six-point advantage from the second-placed team. They also have a match in hand. The Reds are hunting for their 20th top-division title. A recent FA Cup exit will also help them to focus more on the league. Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s ace, also hinted that the team will be more focused on winning the league as they were unable to celebrate with the fans during the COVID-19 pandemic. The betting odds of 1/4 are in Liverpool’s favor.
Another disappointment for Arsenal
Arsenal have been the second-best team in England in the last couple of seasons. They have challenged the other teams but the lack of consistency has not helped them in their cause. This season, they are likely to end the table in second position once again. Arteta’s men have failed to seal three points in 10 games. Eight draws in 24 games have not helped their cause. The Gunners have odds of 18/5 to win the league.

Late momentum for Manchester City
It looks like Manchester City will not win five league titles in a row. Pep’s men are struggling to put up consistent performances. They are 15 points behind the leaders and two points away from the top four. However, Manchester City spent heavily in January 2025. Some new additions have added the spark back to this Man City side. It will be a big task for them to finish in third place but Pep won’t like it if they finish beyond that.

Nottingham Forest back in Europe
What a season Nuno Espirito Santo and Nottingham Forest are having. Forest are currently sitting in third place and are nine points behind the leaders. They have been the underdogs and troubled all the big wins. Liverpool only collected one point from Forest in both home and away fixtures. They might be in third place but the fixtures towards the end of the season are tough. However, a good start to the campaign will likely ensure Champions League football for next season.
Chelsea, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Bournemouth are also in the race for top four.
