David Warner Leads Sydney Thunder to the Thrilling BBL Final
David Warner has led the Sydney Thunder to their second BBL final in 14 seasons. After a tough season full of injuries, the Thunder overcame every odd to set up a match against Hobart Hurricanes. Sydney Thunder will play in their second BBL final. They last won the 2015-16 edition. Hobart, on the other hand, has reached their third final. After failing in 2013-14 and 2017-18, this is their chance to lift the title.

Sydney Thunder got the better of Melbourne Stars in the Knockout match. They faced Sydney Sixers, who had already lost to Hobart Hurricanes in the Qualifier. The Challenger match was held at the famous SCG.

David Warner opted to bowl in this crucial match. His side has restricted the opponents in most games. This time they were against a big batting line-up.
Thunder bowlers were hitting their mark from the start. Sixers were struggling on 50 for 3 in 8.1 overs. Skipper Moises Henriques and Jordan Silk stood in the middle but were unable to create a big partnership. Silk batted till the end and with the help of Dwarshuis, they took the total to 151 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Wes Agar and Tom Andrews took a couple of wickets each.
David Warner and Jason Sangha: Openers of Thunder
Warner and Jason Sangha opened the innings for Thunder for the first time. They made a better start than the Sixers but lost Warner in the third over. Thunder batters continued their flow of runs and scored at a better rate than the required one.
Sam Billings came to the middle and held the innings. He was instrumental in taking thee chase to the end of the innings. The Englishman scored 42 not out and led his side to a four-wicket win.
Despite losing most of the experienced players due to injuries, Sydney Thunder fought back to make it to the finals. A win in the finals will be a fairytale ending to a tough campaign.
