Harleen Deol’s Outstanding Performance lead India to a series-clinching victory
Harleen Deol’s maiden ODI ton was enough to help Indian Women to a series win over West Indies Women. The women in blue now lead the ODI series 2-0 with one match remaining. Earlier, they had won the T20I series 2-1.
Indian batters post huge total
After scoring 314 in the first match, Harmanpreet Kaur decided that her side would bat first for the second match in a row. This time India came out with a different mindset. They decided to stay on the front foot. All batters came in with the same intent. The home team ended up posting a huge total of 358 for the loss of five wickets.

Mandhana & Pratika with the perfect start
There has been a change in the opening pair due to Shafali Verma’s injury. Smriti Mandhana has a new partner in Pratika Rawal. This duo scored 110 runs in the first match and scored the same number of runs in this game as well. The left-hander was the first one to get out. Mandhana scored 53 before getting run out. Rawal continued her stay on the field. She made 76 runs before getting dismissed.

Harleen Deol’s maiden ton
Harleen Deol became the star of the show as she went on to score her first ODI hundred. The 26-year-old scored 115 runs in the innings and that included 16 fours.
Jemimah Rodrigues also joined the party towards the end. She scored a quickfire 52 of just 36 balls. Indian women never allowed the West Indies bowlers to settle and posted a big total.
West Indies batters continued their struggles
This was a huge target for the away team batters as they had to chase down a massive target. Hayley Matthews and her team only posted 103 runs in the opening match.

Once again, the team struggled to build partnerships. At the end of 17 overs, West Indies were 69-4. Matthews saw her teammates struggling against the Indian bowlers. Deandra Dottin’s wicket was the biggest one among the four.
Matthews gets to triple figures
Hayley Matthews is the best player in the West Indies team. She showed her class in this match as well. The Windies captain scored 106 runs in the chase. She along with Shemaine Campbelle created a 100-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Campbell scored 38 runs and showed some positive signs.

Indian spinners led to West Indies’ downfall. Leg spinner Priya Mishra took out three batsmen. Pratika Rawal showed her all-around skills by taking two wickets from her off-spin. Deepti Sharma also took out a couple of other players. Titus Sadhu and Renuka Singh Thakur took three wickets combined, with Sadhu taking out a couple of players.
India will aim to whitewash the ODI series in the final match to be played on 27th December. They might give a chance to other players in the squad. West Indies players will be worried about this performance. They will aim to win the final match of the series.
