Gujarat Giants PKL Season 11: The Best Powerful Team Ever
Gujarat Giants, one of the most consistent teams in PKL, are ready to challenge again for the title in Season 11. They were runner-up of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) two times and have reached the playoffs in four out of six seasons they have participated in. However, their journey in Season 10 ended with the Haryana Steelers in the playoffs.
Gujarat Giants: Strengths
Gujarat Giants’ key strength this season is going to be their versatile raiding unit, which will play an important role in their campaign. Their attack is led by Guman Singh, whom they signed for INR 1.97 crore during the Season 11 Player Auction. His PKL record speaks about his importance on this team. And why he is going to be considered an important player this season, with 400 raid points to his name, including 163 from last season alone. He will be eyeing being the top raider in the league this season.

Apart from Guman, Parteek Dahiya and Rakesh will be among the raiders. The experience of the combination of these three raiders is going to give the Gujarat Giants plenty of attacking depth. This makes them a dangerous team to face on the mat.
Gujarat Giants: Weaknesses
The primary concern of the Gujarat Giants is their defensive prospects. The Giants have faced severe problems in defense since there are just two well-known defenders, Sombir and Neeraj Kumar. Sombir has made 194 tackle points in his PKL career, while Neeraj Kumar, on the other hand, possesses 172. The remaining players who defend for the team lack experience and haven’t been able to consistently perform at the highest level.

To strengthen their defense Gujarat Giants have signed several players during the Season 11 Player Auction, such as Nitesh, Manuj Mohit, Harsh Lad, and Iranian defender Vahid Rezaeimehr, among others. However, it’s mainly about their lack of experience that worries the team.

Opportunities
The Gujarat Giants have defensive gaps that they can exploit with their multifaceted skills notwithstanding. Specifically, the contributions of Mohammad Nabibakhsh and Balaji D are equally commendable to both offense and defense.
Neeraj Kumar who had a disappointing season will be looking to redeem himself under the same coaching style of head coach Ram Mehar Singh. Another player is Monu who has displayed much potential in defending makes him crucial for reinforcing the Giants
Threats
Gujarat Giants this season’s biggest concern is going to their inexperience, especially when it comes to defense. Their inconsistency may stem from their feeble background in defense as well as other offensive line positions. This would have them lose tight matches because of lapses on the part of the defenders. It would spoil whatever chance they had at claiming the trophy this time around.
In conclusion, the Gujarat Giants have built a promising squad for PKL Season 11. If their talented raiders can perform to their potential and their inexperienced defense rises to the challenge, this might finally be the season where they go all the way.
