Australia made an epic win against England in the first T20I
Australia, after warming up in Scotland and winning the 3-match T20 Series 3-0, started their England tour with a comprehensive win in the 1st T20.
England opts to bowl first:

Australia off to a flying Start:

After being asked to bat first, both Aussie openers took the challenge and destroyed English bowlers in the powerplay. It was Matthew Short who took guard along with Travis Head. Both were on the charge from the beginning. Travis Head, as usual, was very destructive, and he also smashed Sam Curran for 30 runs in the 5th over, which included 3 fours and 3 sixes. Australia had scored 86 by the end of the 6th over before Head was finally dismissed by Saqib for a score of 59.

Adil Rashid knocked off skipper Marsh in the very next over. Australian innings slowed down a little after the powerplay as regular wickets kept falling. Australia were 135/5 after 13 overs. England bowlers pulled back really well, and the total, which was looking like a 220+ score, was restricted to 179 only, and Australia was all out in the 19th over. Josh Inglis played a good knock in the middle overs, scoring 37 off 27. For England, it was All-Rounder Livingstone who took 3 wickets in between; Archer and Saqib took 2 each. England bowlers had surely brought them back into the game; the task was in batsman’s hands now.
Aussie Bowlers also start well:
After a solid start by Head and short in the batting powerplay, Australian bowlers also followed them and gave their team a good start with bowling. Hazelwood dismissed Will Jacks in the 2nd over. Bartlett got Jordan Cox and Sean Abbott got skipper Philip Salt out in the 6th over, and England were 46/3 after the powerplay. England tried to build a partnership for the chase, but Australian bowlers kept taking wickets at regular intervals. By the end of the 16th over, England had lost eight of their wickets and were eventually out of the chase.
England only managed 151 and were all out in the final over. Liam Livingstone was the top scorer with a 37-run knock; none other English batter was impressive. Pacer Sean Abbott took 3 for 28 while Hazelwood and Zampa took 2 each. Australia had won the game easily by 28 runs and went 1-0 up in the series. Travis Head was adjourned Player of the Match for his destructive knock at the top order, which had set the tone of the Innings.

Both teams meet again on the 13th for the 2nd T20 of the 3-match series.
